What is HPV and how is it contracted?
HPV is a sexually transmitted disease, that is commonly found in young teens and adults. In some cases, there are no obvious symptoms until genital warts develop or pap smear testing becomes abnormal.
How is HPV treated?
HPV cannot be cured, however, it can be prevented through vaccines or the effects can be treated by prescription medication or surgery. Corne Cervical biopsies are necessary if they cervical dysplasia and Dr. Anucha has extensive experience in helping patients.
What are the long-term risks and effects of HPV?
There is an increased risk of advanced growth of warts and if not treated and in some cases the development of cervical cancer.
